Establishment of Islamic cemeteries

Islamic cemeteries that serve the camp residents have been executed, as follows:

1- The Islamic cemetery for Talbieh camp and the surrounding areas of Giza Municipality:

Project description: Construction of the cemetery on a land of 33 dunums. The works include the external walls, the guard’s room, an umbrella for waiting, and a health unit.

Implementing party: Department of Palestinian Affairs

Estimated cost: 500,000 JD (including the price of the land)

Implementation date: 2018-2019

 

2- The new Islamic cemetery in Baqa ’a camp:

Project description: A 14 dunums land was purchased, fences, guard room and umbrella for waiting were built

Implementing party: Governmental Buildings Department

Estimated cost: 370,000 JD

Implementation date: 2013

 

3- The Islamic Cemetery in Baqa ‘a Camp:

Project description: Construction of fences, guard room and umbrella for waiting

Implementing party: Department of Palestinian Affairs

Estimated cost: 150,000 JD

Implementation date: 2007

 

4- The Islamic Cemetery for Martyr Azmi Al-Mufti Camp:

Project description: A (10) dunums of land was purchased by the Royal Court to build a guard room and an umbrella for waiting

Implementing party: Governmental Buildings Department

Estimated cost:22,500 JD

Implementation date: 2011-2012

 

5- The Islamic cemetery for Sokhna camp:

Project description: Construction of the cemetery on an area of ​​25 dunums Implementing party: Department of Palestinian Affairs

Estimated cost: 93,000 JD

Implementation date: 2007

 

6- The old Islamic cemetery in Zarqa camp:

Project description: The project of maintenance the external walls of the cemetery and lighting

Implementing party: Directorate of Works of Zarqa Governorate

Estimated cost: 68000 JD

Implementation date: 2007

 

7- The Islamic Cemetery in Hitteen Camp:

Project description: On a 48 dunums and the construction of fences, the guard room and an umbrella for waiting

Implementing party: Department of Palestinian Affairs

Estimated cost: 138000 dinars

Implementation date: 2007
