Infrastructure projects in the camps

A number of infrastructure projects have been implemented in the camps, as follows:

1. Rehabilitation of Souf camp’s Valley Stream

   Project description: Construction of a canal to rehabilitate the stream of Souf Camp valley to prevent the flooding of the valley into the camp lands

   Implementing party: Department of Palestinian Affairs

   Estimated cost: 300000 JD

Implementation date: 2022-2023 (in progress)

 

2- Rehabilitation of martyr Azmi Al-Mufti camp’s valley:

Project description: Construction of a canal to rehabilitate the stream martyr Azmi Al-Mufti valley to prevent the flooding of the valley into the camp lands

Implementing party: Department of Palestinian Affairs

Estimated cost: 300,000 JD

Implementation date: 2021-2022 

 

3- Infrastructure project in martyr Azmi Al-Mufti camp:

Project description: Construction of a retaining wall and inclusions martyr Azmi Al-Mufti camp

Implementing party: Governmental Buildings Department

Estimated cost: 8500 JD

Implementation date: 2011-2012

 

4- Infrastructure project in martyr Azmi Al-Mufti camp:

Project description: Construction of an overpass for pedestrians and circular street at the entrance to the camp

Implementing party: Governmental Buildings Department / Amman Municipality

Implementation date: 2011-2012

 

5- Infrastructure project in Sokhna camp:

Project description: Implementation of a new water network in Sokhna camp

Implementing party: Ministry of Water and Irrigation

Estimated cost: 180,000 JD

Implementation date: 2007

 

6- Infrastructure project in Hitteen camp:

Project description: Maintenance and rehabilitation of the sewage network in Hitteen camp

Implementing party: Ministry of Water and Irrigation

Estimated cost: 115,000 JD

Implementation date: 2007
